    About Noemi Flores

    Noemi Flores is a bilingual mental health therapist, and founder of My Hope Counseling, LLC. A place of hope and healing. Noemi is of Salvadoran descent and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She can offer individual therapy services in either language. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Washington, D.C., and Virginia. She is in the process of endorsing her license in Maryland.

    Noemi values creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for her clients. She understands therapy works best when it is consistent, reliable, predictable and safe. Noemi also understands that you are the expert in your story. She will work with you in identifying your needs in therapy. Noemi usually meets with clients once a week on the same day and time each week. Sessions typically last about 45-55 minutes and are conducted via tele-health. Noemi conducts an interview in the first session where she tries to gain an understanding about each client’s therapeutic needs and background. Next, she collaborates with her client in identifying and defining goals for therapy. Throughout your time in therapy, Noemi will work with and support you in achieving your treatment plan goals.

    In her free time, Noemi loves and enjoys spending time in nature, reading a good book, and spending time with her family.

    My Education & Experience

    Noemi obtained her Masters in Clinical Social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of social work in 2017. Since graduating, Noemi has worked with teens and adults in medical and outpatient settings, specializing in treating anxiety, and trauma related disorders.

    Noemi’s areas of specialties in practice include treatment of: Anxiety-related disorders, trauma (PTSD), mood (depression) disorders, women issues (prenatal, postpartum mood disorders), first-generation and cultural challenges, and spirituality.

    Noemi uses an eclectic approach of evidenced-based interventions, and draws from: Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-informed interventions, psychodynamic, Motivational interviewing, Behavior activation, etc. Noemi can also provide Christian faith-based counseling and include biblical perspectives to support navigating your process of healing.

    Furthermore, Noemi has worked with and served the Latino/ Hispanic community for over 10- years, and can complete immigration evaluations for U-Visa, political asylums, hardships, and VAWA cases.
